Hocus Pocus Pilatus Pas I

Hocus Pocus Pilatus Pas I is an ultra-soft and long knitted scarf made from 100% extra-fine merino wool, featuring an enchanting design that’s visible on both sides, offering a reversibel look. 

Wolvis and visual artist and writer Maarten Inghels designed four magical scarves together. Maarten incorporated spells from medieval grimoires into oil paint drawings, which in turn were translated into scarves. We believe that a scarf from this series will offer you protection and that you will be able to disappear (in it) at the right moment... Magic!

• Inspiration
"Hocus Pocus Pilatus Pas" is a pseudo-Latin spell symbolising deception and trickery, possibly stemming from a mass celebrated in Latin. Centuries ago, the mostly illiterate believers would memorise unintelligible snippets of the priest's sayings. These took on a life of their own via children's play and mockery.
